Ustadh Nabeel Muayad Ali Alkhalidy is a descendant of the venerable Banu Makhzoom tribe of Arabia renowned for their profound legacy in Arabic and Quranic heritage. He has dedicated over 20 years to the study and teaching of the Arabic language. His academic journey commenced in 1999, shortly after completing his tertiary education in Science ( Microbiology). His initial studies in Arabic began by attending regular sessions with esteemed teachers in the Sydney area. The year 2001 marked a significant turn in his studies when he travelled to Amman, Jordan, to delve deeper into Advanced Arabic with several local teachers and instructors.
Over the years, Ustadh Nabeel has immersed himself in classical texts and commentaries pivotal to Islamic scholarship, such as the Sharh of Ibn Aqeel, Hidayatun Nahw, and various Shurooh of Al Ajrumiya. His studies extend to eloquence and rhetoric in Arabic, highlighted by his work with Mukhtasar Alma'ani by Al Taftazani. Alongside his linguistic pursuits, Ustadh Nabeel has enriched his knowledge base with studies in the Islamic sciences including Shafai/ Hanafi Fiqh, Aqeedah, Logic, Hadith studies and Tasawuf. Currently, Ustadh Nabeel is not only teaching locally and online but also advancing his studies in Quranic Exegesis and Etymology, focusing particularly on the linguistic miracles of Al Qur’an Al Kareem. His research in Quranic studies is extensive, involving collaborations with fellow researchers and scholars to further explore the many dimensions of Quranic linguistics and Tafseer. A cornerstone of his current work is the development of a unique curriculum that explores Quranic linguistics with an emphasis on Tafseer of the Quran with the Quran. This approach is based on the principle that the Quran is a self-clarifying text with no inconsistencies, designed to deepen the understanding and appreciation of its linguistic and theological depths. Ustadh Nabeel also excels as a content creator. He runs the popular YouTube channel LearnQuranicArabic which serves as a platform to share knowledge and insights into Quranic Arabic with a global audience. Ustadha Umm Abdul-Rahman has been an Arabic teacher for well over 2 decades. She obtained her Bachelor in Science and teaching in 1999 from Baghdad University.
