This is a classical Arabic grammar manual that covers the fundamentals of Arabic Grammar in extensive detail .This course will be ideal for any student who has studied the Madina books ( Books 1-3), Commentary of the Ajrummiyah or equivalent, and wants to take this knowledge to the next level in order to be able to master Arabic Grammar and to begin studies in Rhetoric. The book will be read in Arabic and expounded upon in great detail. The lessons covered are from the introduction until the reasons for being partially declinable.

This course is a prerequisite for HN02

COURSE LESSONS 

Lesson 1: Introduction to Hidayah fil Nahw, Opening Dua and the Introduction. [41:56 minutes]

Lesson 2 : Structure of the first 3 sections of the text, What is the Science of النحو and some advice on reading Arabic text. [20:43 minutes]

Lesson 3: The singular word (كلمة), The Noun (Ism) Part 1, Clarification on the Sifah (as a sentence and as a Sibhu Jumla). [28:22 minutes]

Lesson 4 : The 10 signs of the اسم (Noun). [27:38 minutes]

Lesson 5 : The 8 signs of the فعل ( verb). Differences between the Basran and Kufan school regarding the original word (Masdar). [21:15 minutes]

Lesson 6 : The Signs of the حرف (Particle) and its benefits. Discussion on the associated prepositional phrase.[27:58 minutes]

Lesson 7: The definition of كلام (speech). Discussion on Musnad and Musnad ilayhi. 2 different meanings of kalima. the difference between Kalaam and Kalim. The meaning of Qawl.[28:50 minutes]

Lesson 8: الاسْمُ المُعْـرَبُ ( undeclinable nouns). The difference between a true undeclinable ( Mabniul Aslee ) and the noun that resembles a true undeclinable. discussion on the reasons why some nouns are undeclinable.[28:37 minutes]

Lesson 9: An introduction to الإعْرابُ (declension) and its 3 different meanings. Discussion on the عامل ( agent of change). First Type of declension [29:24 minutes] 

Lesson 10: Declension of nouns, types 2 to 5 . The sound feminine plural, the partially declinable and the 6 nouns [25:22 minutes]

Lesson 11: Type 6 of the declension of nouns. The nouns that follow the sound masculine plural. The relationship between the tanween and the Noon at the end of the dual and sound masculine plural. [21:09 minutes]

Lesson 12: Type 7-9 of the declension of nouns. Ism Manqoos, Ism Maqsoor and the noun that is associated to the first person singular pronoun. [25:54 minutes]

Lesson 13: Fully and Partially Declinable intro. Reason 1 for being partially declinable: Transformation [25:52 minutes]

Lesson 14: Reason 2-5 for being partially declinable: Being originally descriptive, Femininity, Proper Noun and Non-Arab proper nouns [27:49 minutes]

Lesson 15: Reason 6-9 plurality, compound words, extra Alif & Noon and being on the pattern of a verb [25:20 minutes]
