In basic Arabic Grammar one is taught the 2 main types of plurals ( the sound and broken plurals). This course will cover plurals in great detail and give students a greater understanding of the profound meanings associated with Plurals. The topics covered will give one a much deeper understanding of both the meanings of different plural patterns along with understanding why the eloquence of the Qur’an is unprecedented and unmatched.

COURSE LESSONS
Lesson 1 - Introduction. The 3 reasons for the existence of different plurals. No two words can mean exactly the same thing even if they are plurals of the same word. The lesser plural will be explained.
Lesson 2 - lesser plurals vs 2 types of the greater plurals. Plurals can occur on a number of combinations. We will explore a number of examples in the Quran and the different meanings associated with different plural types. Detailed example of the root ( و ن ب). How are the 2 plurals of the word ابْن used in the Quran.
Lesson 3 - The Sound plurals in relation to verbs and broken plurals in relation to states or titles.
Lesson 4 - The added meaning(s) related to the different broken plural patterns with examples from the Quran.
Lesson 5 - The added meaning(s) related to the different broken plural patterns with examples from the Quran(cont). Which pronoun to use for the plural? refuting an alleged linguistic error. The Singular noun denoting a plural and the generic noun.
Lesson 6 - Detailed linguistic analysis of Surah Al Qamar ayahs 54-55. Further linguistic analysis of verses from the Quran and perfect word choice.
